The changing world of international arbitration

Abstract

The article analyzes the activities of international arbitration. International arbitration has undergone many changes over time, its activities have expanded, but at the same time the services of arbitrators have become more expensive, and the resolution of cases has been slower. The most expensive were the services of US arbitrators. However, arbitration, despite criticism, has become one of the main tools for resolving business disputes, and at the same time arbitration has become more commercialized, and the number of professional arbitrators and lawyers has increased. У статті аналізується діяльність міжнародного арбітражу. Міжнародний арбітраж з часом зазнав багатьох змін, його діяльність розширювалася, але водночас послуги арбітрів стали дорожчими, а врегулювання справ – менш швидким. Найдорожчими були послуги арбітрів США. Однак, арбітраж, незважаючи на критику, став одним з основних інструментів вирішення бізнес-спорів, і водночас арбітраж став більш комерціалізованим, а кількість професійних арбітрів та юристів зросла.
