Бачення Франції майбутнього ЄС відрізняється від бачення інших країн, а детальне вивчення європейського зовнішньополітичного вектору Франції дозволить краще зрозуміти геополітичні реалії на європейському континенті. Як один із піонерів європейської інтеграції, країна проводить активну політику реформ і поглиблення відносин між державами-членами та підтримує розширення ЄС. Актуальність дослідження виникає через необхідність повноцінного вивчення ролі Французької Республіки на міжнародній арені, і зокрема в євроінтеграційних процесах після розпаду біполярної системи.
