Abstract

Військово-політична спецоперація СРСР в Афганістані 1979-1989 років стала не лише останньою військовою зовнішньополітичною акцією Радянського Союзу, а й завершальною ланкою «холодної війни». Однак в історичній та військовій літературі майже не аналізується специфіка цієї спецоперації, її відмінності від попередніх військово-політичних акцій СРСР за його межами, а також її взаємозалежність та взаємозв'язок з «холодною війною». Автор робить спробу скоротити цей розрив. The military-political special operation of the USSR in Afghanistan in 1979-1989 became not only the last military foreign policy action of the Soviet Union, but also the final link of the “Cold War”. However, the historical and military literature almost does not analyze the specifics of the special operation, its differences from previous military-political actions of the USSR outside its borders, as well as its interdependence and interconnection with the “Cold War”. The author makes an attempt to reduce this gap.
