On-line learning in universities of Ukraine: student motivation

Abstract

Як свідчать наукові дослідження та практика, проблема розвитку та підтримки мотивації здобувачів вищої освіти під час дистанційної форми навчання, які доводиться активно використовувати в університетах України у зв’язку з такими подіями останнього часу, як пандемія та воєнний стан у країні, виявляється досить не простим завданням. Ситуація онлайн навчання тісно пов’язана з певними психологічними проблемами, з особливими і специфічними потребами здобувачів вищої освіти, які викладач повинен врахувати, застосувати особливі підходи до організації навчального процесу. У даних умовах викладачеві важливо використовувати спеціальні методи стимулювання їх мотивації до навчання, активно залучати до онлайн-зустрічей, ефективно працювати в умовах нестачі живого контакту з одногрупниками та викладачем, стимулювати самоорганізацію студентів, їх уміння використовувати тайм-менеджмент,застосовувати індивідуальний підхід, розуміння найпоширеніших мотиваційних моделей. Отже, головною метою викладача в умовах онлайн навчання можна вважати формування позитивного ставлення кожного здобувача до навчання, розвиток у них позитивних емоцій і вражень під час навчального процесу в даній ситуації, створення нових видів діяльності, перетворення навчання у такій складній ситуації на цікавий і творчий процес. Метою даної статті є аналіз шляхів підвищення мотивації здобувачів вищої освіти в умовах онлайн навчання в університетах України. У статті здійснено огляд науково-методичної літератури, аналіз та узагальнення підходів до вирішення проблеми мотивування студентів університетів під час дистанційного та онлайн навчання, які були визначені сучасними дослідниками і висвітлені у різноманітних наукових і методичних працях. As scientific research and practice show, the problem of developing and maintaining the motivation of higher education students during distance learning, which has to be actively used in universities of Ukraine in connection with such recent events as the pandemic and martial law in the country, turns out to be quite a difficult task. The situation of online learning is closely related to certain psychological problems, with the special and specific needs of higher education students, which the teacher must take into account, apply special approaches to organizing the educational process. In these conditions, it is important for the teacher to use special methods of stimulating their motivation to study, actively involve them in online meetings, work effectively in conditions of lack of live contact with classmates and the teacher, stimulate students' self-organization, their ability to use time management, apply an individual approach, and understand the most common motivational models. Therefore, the main goal of a teacher in online learning can be considered the formation of a positive attitude of each applicant to learning, the development of positive emotions and impressions during the educational process in this situation, the creation of new types of activities, the transformation of learning in such a difficult situation into an interesting and creative process. The purpose of this article is to analyze ways to increase the motivation of higher education applicants in online learning at universities in Ukraine. The article reviews the scientific and methodological literature, analyzes and summarizes approaches to solving the problem of motivating university students during distance and online learning, which were identified by modern researchers and covered in various scientific and methodological works.
